Biodiversity is disappearing

We live in an era where the cultural conditioning of a large part of society has been to extract the planet's resources until they run out in some places.  This means that future generations will not have the opportunity to enjoy them.

Regeneration

We create resource-generational solutions that contribute to the regeneration of living ecosystems while guaranteeing social and economic prosperity.

WHERE WE WORK

Las Tunas Ancestral Commune is located in the South of the province of Manabí on the Southern Coast of Ecuador. We are four villages that belong to this community within an area of 3,400 ha(8,400 acres) that parallel the Ayampe River; having a rich ecosystem composed of humid forest, mangrove swamp, and the beach. Economic activities in this area are mostly dedicated to tourism and artisanal fishing.

The population of Las Tunas Ancestral Commune lives within the 60,000 ha(148,300 acres) that make up the Ayampe River basin together with 32 other communities along the basin within two provinces, Manabí and Santa Elena. The Ayampe River provides water for an area of more than 400 km2(155 mi2) and hence is of central importance for life in this area.

OUR ALLIES

Connecting local and non-local communities is a key dimension of our project because of the reliance of the region on tourism. Therefore, we provide a common platform that gathers the initiatives and ventures that take place in the area in an easy and accessible way, in order to facilitate broad involvement and support.
